The setting for this evening of dark history is none other than The Mere Inn, a beautifully quaint Joules pub that carries its own rich history. Named after Alsager’s famous mere – a small lake that has existed since medieval times – this stunning venue is full of hidden treasures and Victorian charm.
Inside, you’ll find oak panelling, bespoke stained-glass windows, and a log burner that flickers to life as the evening draws in, creating a warm, intimate setting perfect for an evening of dark storytelling. The Mere Inn is also renowned for its extensive whisky collection, featuring premium artisan spirits, world-class whiskies, speciality wines and great ales.
