This photograph shows the entrance of Ford Green Hall, a timber-framed farmhouse constructed in 1624 for Hugh Ford, a yeoman dairy farmer. The image captures the intricate wooden architecture and the enduring beauty of the hall's front door, which has welcomed visitors for nearly four centuries. The Ford family, who owned a substantial 36 acres of land, called this hall home for almost 200 years. After their departure, the building's status waned, leading to its division into cottages in the 19th century.

Today, Ford Green Hall stands as a museum, adorned with original textiles, ceramics, and furniture, offering a tangible connection to 17th-century life. The museum's collection is distinguished as "Designated Outstanding" by the Arts Council England, underscoring its global significance. The hall continues its legacy, managed by volunteers and community members dedicated to preserving its rich history.
